China here I come

For the 2nd time in six months I'm off to China! This time I'm going to Bejing, Shanghai and Seoul South Korea. We're going (all expenses paid) at the request of a school recruiting firm there that gets Korean and Chinese students into American schools. Oddly, a lot of them want a Christian education as it's something they can't get there (yet..).

I come home from Kauai on March 17th and leave for Bejing on March 22nd - and I'll be back by April 1st. I will miss the Mosaic grand opening - which grieves me - but will be ready to jump in for my volunteer shifts when I get home!

Speaking of Mosaic...we have decided (with the help of the City of Seattle) to work on a donation only basis. There are some great models for this (successful) not only in Seattle, but in other parts of the country as well. It is at this point that we really trust that the Lord has brought us this far and will not ever let us down. Funny how images of the Children of Israel come to mind - standing at the foot of the Red Sea.

In the words of C.S. Lewis in the final Chronicles of Narnia book "Further in and further up!"

You are quite the jetsetter. Good for you. Stay away from the sheep veejay this time, okay?

About Me

I work at a Christian School district only 4 miles from my home. The people there are full of grace and love and I am glad to be a part of this ministry. I have a neice and nephew whom I love dearly. They are 12 and almost 15 respectively. I have two amazing sisters and two amazing brothers-in-law. Of course, I would not be here if it were not for my mother agreeing to marry my dad. Good going mom! My parents are my life and I would literally be NOTHING without their unconditional love, support and care. You rock mom and dad. Then there's Will & Lora...their giggles are like sunshine and their parents crack me up too.
