December 7

This is the day when Hillary and Phil come home for the holidays! I know it was a bit random...but oh well.

I talked to Hillary yesterday and she wants to stay home! I know...it's very exciting. She is going to try to get into BCC Nursing program and so we need to be praying that this will happen for her. I told her that I need her to be home because I need someone to go to the movies with me on a random Friday night.

So, that's the big surprise! We have planned a few fun things and hope to plan more - they are excited to come home and meet all the new people from church too.

Only 43 days left now.

I registered for my first class in my PhD program today. I'm scared spitless as it starts January 8th. YIKES!

I also ordered a new fake Christmas tree with lights already on it. It was cheap and I don't like to mess with buying a tree every year. My friend Geri gave me her old one, but my cat climbed in it last year and about 13 branches fell off. That's what I've done with my life so far today...pretty exciting!

I also got John Grisham's new book and it's really really good! Too bad I have to work otherwise I'd not be able to put it down!

Okay...I was going to guess Phil and Hill coming home but I wasn't sure. I should have taken the chance. But I didn't know all the other news. Does that mean Phil would stay home too, or just Hillary? We will be praying that she gets in.

I just started "The Red Tent" its really good, but I want to read the new J Grisham too....

I'll loan you my J.G. book when I'm done - which should be this weekend.

I think Phil would have to stay...at least until she is done and working.

I want to read The Red Tent and John Grisham. I'll trade for The Last Days of Dogtown ( by the author of the Red Tent) or the new Amy Tan - Saving Fish from Drowning, or Grapes of Wrath.

I'll trade with you Mimi, once I finish "Red Tent" for any of those, other than "Grapes of Wrath" as I read it in high school, or was supposed to read it. I should probably read it again....I do want to give "red tent" to my mom when she comes for Christmas, if she hasn't already read it, but I'm sure you could have it done by then.

Theo Mom - You can borrow any book you want. I have a whole trunk full of them. Get 'em while they're hot, or before I finally take them to Half-Price Books.

I, too, am counting the days till our wee little sister returns to the bossoms of her two older sisters. I'm excited that she wants to go back to school and I know she will be great. But I also want her to be close to Phil so that she'll provide us with nieces and nephews. You guys aren't getting any younger you know! Plus, I'm not moving to the Ridge unless she's there. I love you, I have the best sisters in the world.

About Me

I work at a Christian School district only 4 miles from my home. The people there are full of grace and love and I am glad to be a part of this ministry. I have a neice and nephew whom I love dearly. They are 12 and almost 15 respectively. I have two amazing sisters and two amazing brothers-in-law. Of course, I would not be here if it were not for my mother agreeing to marry my dad. Good going mom! My parents are my life and I would literally be NOTHING without their unconditional love, support and care. You rock mom and dad. Then there's Will & Lora...their giggles are like sunshine and their parents crack me up too.
